Mr. Bunny´s Carrot Soup

Do you want to read with me? 

I read a book in class about a Bunny and it trasmits values to the children such as Friendship. Afterwards each child picked up a character and we made groups in order to do a theater in class. All the kids dressed up as their animal and talk in front of all their classmates. 

GAMES

The children were today in the Computer room playing with some games related with our topic: FRUIT AND VEGETABLES 

It is essential that kids start to develop digital competences in order to adapt to the current society. 

These are some of the games that they have been using: 

WE GO TO THE MARKET!

During this Unit we created a classroom market where the students learned about how to operate a small business. They brought products to sell such as fruits and vegetables. 

Some of the children were the customers and other the sellers. Is a shopping role-play where they practise questions with "Have you got any Bananas, Please?" and giving short answers "Yes, I have. No, I haven´t" also including vocabulary related to basic food items such as fruits and vegetables.

The children learned how to ask things at the supermarket and practising the new vocabulary of the Unit. They have fun and they are learning without notice it.

CHEFS FOR ONE DAY

We have been studing the fruits and the vegetables, but today we have transformed the class into a small kitchen. The kids were waiting this day since we strated the Unit. 

We distributed the class into small groups in order to work better. After seeing the video and reading the receipt we can start cooking our FRUIT SALAD!

After preparing the Fruit Salad we could taste them in class and have a delicious snack! The children were having fun and they were not concious that they could cook so well. 

This activity is very easy and help the kids to review the vocabulary in a funny way.

I created myself with interactive activities in order not to make it so boring. Is an useful aplication to create your own book. It is called Cuadernia and it is completely free.

THE BODY

This Unit is about The Body, kids must know how the parts of the body are called. Is one of the most important vocabulary the children must learn. 

We have started making a brainstorming in class with some vocabulary about the parts of the body in an online program called TAGXEDO in order to know which words they know. 

This was the result: 

They had fun doing this and all of them wanted to write on the program and that is why they participate saying words. Is a good methodology in order to promote participation. The new technologies are a great motivation.

WORKSHEETS

After kids start to recognize some parts of the body they are going to be able to do it also in others. The activity consists of writing the correct part of the body in the line. Each child will have two Worksheet one of the whole body and the other only of the face. 


Some of them can have difficulties but with the time they will be able to write the correct word. They can also draw them if they want.
