HALLOWEEN DAY

31st of october is an important date for children in United States. That is why on the 31st of october we prepare a funny party in the classroom. The first thing we did is talk about this event a week before and introduce the children the new vocabulary related with the topic.

For this objective the first thing I did with my class is a worksheet with a small game called word search to learn new vocabulary about halloween.

SONGS

During our class we heard some music about halloween here you have some examples:

LET´S SING!

We practised the songs for Thuesday and the children had fun.

DECORATION OF THE CLASS

We are preparing the class for Halloween day, so we spend today´s class creating some decoration.We made cute bats out of an egg carton and adorable ghots form leaves. Both projects are easy and friendly.These are some of them:

Egg Carton Bat Craft

Materials:

* Egg carton
* Scissors
* Black paint
* Paintbrush
* Googly eyes
* Glue
* Ribbon

1. Cut out 3 cups from an egg carton and then cut the bottoms of the 2 outside cups to resemble bat wings.

2. Afterwards we painted them black.

3. We glued the googly eyes after the paint was dry. Finally glued ribbon to the top of each bat so we could hang them.

Leaf Ghost Craft
Materials:

* Artificial leaves
* White paint
* Paintbrush
* Black marker
* Ribbon

1. Paint the leaves white on both sides.
2. Draw ghostly eyes and mouths.

They are very easy and make the class look fantastic! You can make a whole bunch of them and hang them up for spooky decorations.

This is one of those projects that looks even better in real life than it does in photos!

The decoration is espectacular for Halloween day!

HALLOWEEN PARTY (GAMES)

The children were waiting this day with urge. The classroom was decorated with the bats and ghots we did on the previous class and they were dressed up. The desks were full of food in order to have snack.

Kids were full of energy and happy hearing to the songs we learned the previous day.

Also we played to some games related to Halloween and have a great time.

Let´s play!

Skeleton Search

Is a simple game for Halloween partys. It consists on a hunt for plastic skeletons or skeleton stickers hidden around the classroom. Give the kids 30 seconds to collect as many skeletons
as possible.

Monster Mash

Provide each student an inflated ballon and a marker in order to draw carefully a monster face on their balloons. Then tie each child´s balloon to his ankle with a piece of string. All students will be in the center of the class and theyy will strat to pop and mash the other students balloons while keeping their own "monster" safe. You can create a price for the one who wins.
